ERIN O’DOWD – Old Town (CD)
Horton Records 042 – Released 05.04.2018
Lush, warm and markedly unique, this Nashville-by-way-of-Tulsa debut weaves folk, roots, and classic country influences into a fresh brand of Americana that’s as inventive as it is nostalgic. Recommended if you like Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, or Loretta Lynn.

It was built four years before the Land Rush of 1889 by Rev. Sylvester Morris, a Methodist missionary to Indian Territory.
He was killed by lawmen who mistook him for a whiskey peddler. Morris was deaf and did not hear the authorities yelling at him to stop. His horses carried him home in his carriage.
